The PROs and CONs of using the internet

Advertisements for the internet promise you a world of information, entertainment,on-line shopping and e-mail services. But the real world of the intrnet may not be as perfect as the advertisements suggest.

Using the intrnet offers many advantages. For example, all of the latest information is available to you, in your home, at any hour of the day or night, it is much faster and easier to surf the net in search of information from all over the world than to travel to libraries in dozens of countries. firstly, on-line shopping makes it possible to search through catalogues to find exactly what you want at the best price, saving both time and money. By joining a newsgroup or char group, you can share your hobbies and special interests, and perhaps make friends all over the world. Also, e-mail is popular because it is faster than sending a letter and cheaper than telephone conversation. On the other hand, the internet has several disadvantages.

However, with so much information available, finding what you want can take you hours. Multimedia web pages with photographs, music and video are attractive, finally they make downloading slow and boring. What is more, there is too much advertising instead of real information. As for internet friendships, sitting at home in fornt of a computer making ‘chat friends’ is not the same as actually meeting people.

In conclusion, the internet obviously has both good and bad points fortunately, the system is improving all the time, and any problems which still exist can be solved. Whether we like it or no, the internet is here to stay, so we have to make the best possible use of it.

Internet: FAQs (frequently asked questions)

The internet is without doubt one of the most important inventions in history. It was started in 1968 by usa government, but at first it was used mainly scientists. Since 1990, when the world wide web was created, it has changed the world, and its uses are growing everyday.
1.      What exactly is the internet?
The internet is a network (several networks, in fact) of millions of computers around the world, connected by phone lines, satellite or cable, so that all the computers on the net can exchange information with each other.
2.      That’s the same thins as the web, isn’t it?
Not quite. The internet links computers, and the wold wide web is system which links the information stored inside these computers.
3.      What is the web site, and how do I visit one?
A company or organisation stores its information in electronic documents on one of the internet computers, somewhere in the world. This computer space-the company’s web site-has an address, in the same way that every telephone has a number. To visit a web site, a document is downloaded, and a page appears on your computer screen.
4.      How do I “surf the net”?
When you visit a web site looking for information, some words on the page may be underlined, showing that there is more information about the subject in another document, if you click on one of these words, the web automatically connects your computer to a new document or web site, even if this stored thousands of kilometres away. You’re surfing the net.
5.      What can I use the internet for?
The  main use of the internet is to find information – for your schoolwork or job, or just to find out more about your hobbies, sports or current events. You can also use the internet to read newspappers and magazines, play games, plan your holiday or buy things from your favourite shop. E-mail makes it possible to send electronic messages anywhere in the world in seconds, and you can use the internet to ‘chat’ with people and make new friends.
6.      What do I need in order to use the internet?
If you don’t already use the internet, all you need to get started is a computer, a modem and a phone line. Using the internet is getting cheatper and easier all the time.
Are you ready to surf the net? There’s a whole exciting internet world out there waiting for you!

Hello people of Mongolia

Mongolia is the most beautiful country I've ever seen. The Mongolians are really proud of their Great Chinggis khaan, and the ancestors. The Mongolian history includes over thousand years.
They are also known the Nomadic Warriors.
Recently I traveled to Mongolia with my friends.
Last week I returned from my Mongolia trip and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the experience. The tour was well organized, the people were gracious and welcoming, and the country was all I had dreamed of. Its beautiful nature, rich culture, herder's life are all very special and wonderful. When I lied on the plain, then I thought "Wow It's beautifull...".
They have got black eyes and dark hair. Most of them live in "ger". This is really interesting and unique apartment. Ger doesn't get too warm or cold. The Mongolians really care about each other, especially their related ones. Most of them eat meats and almost everyone can ride horse. Don't miss the chance to trip Mongolia in summer. It'll be fun and nice...

The restaurant I like...

There is a popular Zochin Buuz on Peace Avenue. This is almost the most popular fast-food restaurants in the Mongolia

The Mongolians have perfected the cooking methods by utilising various techniques, including boiling, frying, drying, steaming and smoking.

- Buuz - meat-filled dumplings, generally steamed
- Bansh - dumplings boiled in water
- Khuushuur - dumplings which are deep fried in mutton fat
- Khorkhog - pieces of mutton, cooked with vegetables in a sealed milk can over preheated stones
- Boodog - similar to Khorkhog, except cooked in a stomach cavity of a goat
- Urum - clotted cream
- Byaslag - cheese
- Arrul - dried curds
- Mongol Arkhi - milk liquour

I went to this fast-food-restaurant two weeks ago.  There were so many people back then, so I thought I would go out in no time.
But a friendly staff came to me and said "sit here please."  I did what she said and looked at the menu. I was really hungry and I tried their brand soup "Zochin shol" and a cup of tea.
Soon my orders came and I ate it quickly and asked staff how much was my bill.  I paid 3000tugrugs.
Later, I thought Zochin Buuz was quite good restaurant I had ever visited.
Firstly, they have friendly staffs and clean tables, warm atmosphere.
Secondly, It should have a bigger menu and place.
Thirdly, They should try some music and fast services.
However, Good restaurant should be like Zochin Buuz on Peace Avenue, I think.
FInally, They should improve chef's skills so it's going to become much more popular.

Do Dogs Make Good Pets?

1)  You’ve decided to add pet to your family-but pet is right? I think that the person who said a dog is “man’s best friend” is absolutely right. In my opinion, dogs make pefect house pets.
2)  First of all, dogs make wonderful companions. They always show their happiness as soon as their owner walks through the door , by wagging their tail and jumping up and down excitedly. They are playful and extremely loyal to their owners, so they are good company for the elderly and for children.
3)  Furthermore, trained dogs are useful t otheir owners. They are easy to train as watchdogs to guard your house and family, making you feel safe and secure. They can also be trained as guide dogs for the blind. They can be taught all sorts of tricks-even to collect the morning newspapper!
4)  On the other hand, dogs need a lot of attention. They need to be fed and brushed, and taken for their daily walkor regular visit to the vet. However, this is small price to pay in exchange for their friendship and loyalty.
5)  All in all, although having a dog can be tiring, I believe that they are the best pets. Spending a little time with your dog every day will certainly win you a “best friend” for life.

Water,Water Everywhere...
Imagine a world with no drinking water, and no water to wash or cook with. It's hard to imagine this, because we use water every day without even thinking about it.Yet there are terrible water shortages all over the world. In parts of Africe and China, for example, many people don't even have clean water to drink. In fact, over half of the people in the world have to live with water shortages every day. We all need water-not just for out homes and factories, but to survive. Fortunately, there are things that we can all do to save water.
The solution begins at home. We can save the water from our baths and use it for the garden, instead of wasting hundreds of litres of clean water on our lawns and plants. This would help to save many litres of water everyday, especially in the summer.
Governments can help by passing laws to stop factories from wasting and polluting water. If factories recycled water and stopped pouring chemicals into our lakes and river, there would be a lot more clean water around.
Governments could also stop water companies from wasting millions of litres of water because of leaking pipes. Many cities have successfully saved water by repairing pipes.
All in all, there are many things we can do to save our planet's dissappearing water supplies. The time has come to start understanding the value of water, before a world without clean water becomes a terrible reality.

Liza Smythe is  succesful British singer. Her smiling face appears on the coversof ernainttionworld to perform concerts for millions of fans.al agazines, and every year she travels to many different parts of the
However, life used to be very different for this bright young star from Liverpool. "Eight years ago," says Liza, "I lived in a small terraced house with my parents and three brothers. It was very cramped! We didn't have a lot of money, so I used to work as a cleaner at the local hospital to make ends meet. I used to buy my clothes from second-hand shops. I was quite plump back then, because I liked eating chips and chocolate. In my free time I used to sing in the college choir or go for walks on the beach. I didn't use to o to clubs because they were very expensive.I used to listen to the radio a lot, though. I learnt all the words to every pop song and people hired me to singer at parties. My friends liked my voice a lot, so they persuaded me to send a cassette to a record company. That's how it all started for me. Three weeks later, I received a phone call from the company and my life changed completely."
Today, Lisa lives in a large house with a big garden just outside London with her husband and young daughter. She is much slimmer now, and looks very elegant in her chic designer clothes. She is constantly on a diet and goes to the gym every day to keep her body in shape. In her free time she enjoys going to the cinema or to parties.
Liza's lifestyle has changed a lot since those days in Liverpool. "I think I'm very lucky to lead           the life I do today. It's not easy, though, because I don't have the privacy that I used to have. Still I have a lovely family and a very promising career. What else I could ask for?" she says
Unit-2, Ex-23
